Art is art, right?

Each issue lists five ways in which you can make money with AI-generated art, useful hyperlinks and other cool stuff related to design.

Many artists, designers, and illustrators fear losing their jobs and clients to AI art. On the other hand, new technology also brings new opportunities and new jobs. It has always been like this when new tech comes along.

Like in every other industry, there will be technological progress, whether you like it or not. The only decision you should make is to adapt and earn money with this new tool or to ignore it, sit in the corner, and cry.

I don’t think we have to argue whether AI-generated art is still art. It may be an art of combining prompts with taste, but an artist can choose any tool they want. With that said, here are a few ways you could make money with AI art:

  1. Stock photo sites (Istockphoto, Pexels, Unsplash, Dreamstime, Pixabay, Motion Array) Using Deviantart and Artstation, you can sell your AI art as prints. Additionally, you can create packages of similar AI images and sell them on Artstation as products.

  2. Artstation/DeviantartIt is imperative that you research before you start creating and even before you build your portfolio if you want to be successful and have many downloads on stock photo sites. Choose the stock photo website of your choice and sort the illustrations by "best selling". By doing so, you will know where the demand is and what you should focus on.

  3. Sell your own products (printables, posters, mobile and desktop wallpapers)There may be no better way to make money with AI art than this. Nevertheless, you must also determine who will be your ideal customer and how to find them online.

  4. Use AI art to aid your designs (branding, UI, clothing)If you’re a designer of any kind, I guarantee you there’s a way for you to utilize AI in your everyday work. In case you have a question regarding this, my channels are open.

  5. Amazon-Kindle and EtsyYou can generate extremely unique pictures that can be used as covers for the books you’ll sell. The purpose of this is to give you some ideas and real-life examples, some of which I use myself, and to demonstrate how it's possible to make money using AI art. Rather than seeing this technology as a threat, I hope you see it as an opportunity. Choose wisely, as it will either make you richer or not.
